The NNSA/SC ECP implements DOE Order 442.1A ( weblink ), and DOE Employee Concerns Program Guide ( weblink) outlines NNSA/SC roles, and responsibilities, in the NNSA Policy BOP-006.002 (PDF, 453kb). Department Of Energy (DOE) Secretary Samuel W. Bodman issued a memorandum (pdf, 66kb ) dated April 11, 2006, affirming:
- One of the highest priorities at the DOE is to ensure the protection of employees, the Nation, and the environment
- There is a climate that encourages the free and open expression of employee concerns
- The DOE's Employee Concerns Program provides an alternative mechanism to report concerns and have them evaluated and addressed independent of the normal problem resolution process.
The NNSA/SC ECP establishes the method to ensure the prompt identification, reporting evaluation, investigation, and response to NNSA/SC employee (Federal, contractor, and subcontractor) concerns
