Welcome to the NNSA Service Center’s web site for the Global Threat Reduction Initiative (GTRI) Acquisition.

The NNSA’s GTRI (NA21) works domestically and with other countries and international partners to identify, secure, recover and/or facilitate the disposition of vulnerable, high-risk nuclear and radiological materials around the world. GTRI works to reduce the risk posed by vulnerable civil nuclear and radiological materials, which could be used by terrorists to make an improvised nuclear device or a radiological dispersal device (“dirty bomb”). GTRI contractors perform technical analyses and assessments, provide security upgrades, implement recovery operations, and/or facilitate the disposition of nuclear and radiological materials.
