Award for Training & Development Excellence (Outstanding Individual Effort).

Partnership
Award for Training & Development Excellence (Outstanding Individual or team effort).

Training
and Development Excellence Award (Outstanding Organizational Effort).
The
awards for Training & Development Excellence recognize outstanding contributions to
the Training & Development Programs of the Department of Energy either by an
individual employee or by a team of employees. They are noncompetitive awards presented by
the Director of the Office of Training & Human Resource Development to worthy
individuals and teams of employees. The
Training and Development Excellence Award is reserved for Outstanding Achievement by a
Field or Headquarters organization.
Leadership
Award for Training & Development -
To receive this award, an individual needs to have made significant accumulative
contributions to the Training & Development Program over a period of time that have
made a positive impact in the training and development of employees in the Department of
Energy, e.g., completed a major training and development project that is implemented and
clearly impacts the training and development of Department of Energy employees in a major,
positive manner or exemplary leadership in accomplishing an initiative. Any Training and
Development staff or training partner making such contributions is eligible for the
Leadership Award for Training and Development.
Partnership
Award for Training & Development Excellence
- To receive this award, recipients must have made significant efforts to partner with
other organizations, other federal or non-federal organizations. Recipients of this award must have developed
and implemented significant training and development projects, processes or initiatives
that clearly impact training and development of Department of Energy employees in a
significant manner.
Training
and Development Excellence Award
This
award is reserved for a Headquarters or Field Training Organization. Recipients of this award have consistently
provided the highest standard of service to the Department of Energy employees in the
field of Training and Development. One award
will be presented annually.
Recommendations
and nominations for Training Awards can be made by anyone with appropriate knowledge,
directly to the Director, Office of Training and Human Resource Development using the
attached nomination form. The nomination should be no more than two pages in length and
should state clearly and succinctly why the individual, team or organization should
receive the award. The Director of Training will convene a panel to review the nominations
and make recommendations.
The
Director of Training and Human Resource Development will notify the person submitting the
nomination and the recipient. Awards will be presented at the Annual Training Conference.
Winner of The Training and Development Excellence Award will be announced at the annual
Training Conference.
All award nominations must be received by OMBE by COB July 12, 2002 and
should be directed to the attention of Gretel Pinkney (Gretel.Pinkney@hq.doe.gov)
All nominations should contain supportive narrative of not more than two pages indicating which of the criteria are met by the nominee or team to be recognized. Appropriate attachments (copies of products) are encouraged. The exact name(s) of the nominee(s) should appear on the nomination form as they should appear on the award.
